A Boho Styled Bridal Shoot at The Yellow Arches Sheffield
Lots of photoshoot pretty for you today! As well as helping real brides prepare for their big day, we love to get involved in inspirational projects to give the soon-to-be-married lots of ideas. At the beginning of the year, we teamed up with several of our Sheffield friends to create a beautiful boho styled shoot to showcase the range of talent in the city, plus a rather unusual venue.
We worked with Felicity from Inner City Weddings and Events (one of our studio colleagues!) at Sheffield’s Yellow Arch Studios. The venue is at the heart of the city’s musical culture as a recording studio, which has hosted everyone from the Arctic Monkeys to Goldfrapp. The bohemian furnishing inspired us to create this beautiful shoot to show the possibilities of how the studio could be styled for a wedding.
We created the hair and make up looks with plaits and crimping wound into the foliage provided by Moss and Clover (who also created the beautiful bouquets) and kept the make up natural to blend in with the surroundings. We loved the lacy headress veil worn by Jaye and thought a darker lip would create a really stunning effect with these accessories. It was really fun to work on some chunkier braids to really emphasise the bohemian look, which could be created on any bride.
We love the jewel colours and warm atmosphere of the shoot with extra lovely cakes provided by Amanda Perry Cake Design. The whole thing was captured by our very good (and talented) friend, Shelley Richmond of Kindred Photography and we love how they have turned out. Big thanks to the White Room for providing the dresses (Claire Pettibone and Halfpenny London).
