What a blissful moment when images of Nicola & Owens wedding, at Castello Di Bibbione in Tuscany, Italy pinged my inbox!
Having marvelled at the beautiful styling, and panoramic views on the day, I anticipated a picture perfect wedding.
The images did not disappoint!
Destination weddings are becoming increasingly popular as the weather in the UK becomes more unpredictable.
But, it was much more than the warmer climate that Nicola & Owen found so appealing about Tuscany in Italy.
Because, for the true romantics among us, the Renaissance lives on in Tuscany, Italy.
The villas and castles, some dating back to the Middle Ages, have aged so gracefully.
The Italians go to great lengths to preserve their towns and countryside and take huge pride in their legacy.
So, with its lush landscape, and timeless architecture, there’s a romantic aura that you cannot find anywhere else in Europe.
The Venue – Castello Di Bibbione In Tuscany
Castello Di Bibbione is a 10th century stone castle, perched on a hill, with panoramic views of the Chianti countryside.
It boasts both rusticity, and elegance, and so made for the perfect location for Nicola & Owens swoon-worthy wedding in Italy.
Tuscany offers an average temperature of around 22°C in September – perfect for the couples’ intimate, outdoor ceremony within the walled Olive garden.
Following drinks on the terrace, with panoramic views, the reception kicked off in style within the charming courtyard and open gallery.
Festoon lighting created the perfect ambiance and gently lit the beautiful table settings dressed with soft grey linen and elegant florals in soft pastels and lush greenery.

Nicola’s vision of a ‘romantic’ castle setting came to life with the addition of stunning floral pieces by Flowers Living and the colour palette couldn’t have been more perfect for Castello Di Bibbione.
Working alongside the fabulous film & photography team from Headshot Weddings was a joy and, evidently, their imagery is stunning.
Hair & Makeup
I could not have been happier when Bride-to-be Nicola contacted me, having discovered me through another of my brides.
Like the majority of our brides, she loved our more natural approach to hair and makeup styling.
Whilst there are plenty of Tuscany based hair stylists and makeup artists available to travel to Castello Di Bibbione, Nicola voiced a common concern; nailing down the trial beforehand.
Hiring a UK based makeup artist and/or hair stylist may not be cost effective or eco-friendly ‘logistically’, but travelling to Italy for the trial isn’t either.
One trial isn’t always enough so having that flexibility without the logistical inconvenience is often more reassuring for a UK based client.
For Nicola, it was a stress free process. We perfected her look with only a few tiny tweaks when we replicated the look at Castello Di Bibbione.
Nicola’s look was timeless and romantic with her hair down in a soft ‘S’ wave.
She kept her makeup natural looking with the focus being a radiant and glowing complexion, which we achieved with the help of my Hourglass Ambient Light Palette.
Nicola wore Charlotte Tilbury’s Iconic Pillow Talk Lipstick.
This complimented the soft ‘blown out’ matt eye-shadow in earthy tones which worked beautifully with Nicola’s blue/grey eye colour.
That Dress ♡♡♡
Because every bride-to-be, reading this post, will ask……
Nicola’s dress is from the Bliss collection by Monique L’Huillier.
‘Dress time’ is always the best part of any wedding morning for me.
I’m secretly, a little bit, obsessed with wedding dresses!
I loved everything about Nicola’s dress; The high neckline, illusion lace bodice with long sleeves, and the gorgeous frothy layered skirt with side slit.
A Magical Moment
I didn’t have the pleasure of getting to know Owen like I did Nicola but the surprise he managed to pull off, for Nicola, has made a lasting impression on me!
Nicola was greeted by an ‘very unexpected’ special guest during the ceremony; her beloved dog ‘Lady’ ♡
A heartfelt thank you to Nicola & Owen for allowing me to share their beautiful wedding images by Weddings On Demand
