Lucy & Alex | Yellow Arch Studio, Sheffield
Quirky Autumn weddings, in cool urban spaces, are amongst our favourites and the wedding of our bride Lucy was boss!
Lucy & Alex hand picked the best of everything that our city of Sheffield has to offer, and then they threw in a few sensational styling details inspired by Thailand. Before the birth of their two gorgeous boys (both of whom made the cutest paige boys ever), Lucy and Alex always fancied the idea of going to Thailand to get married but, instead, they brought a little taste of Thai bliss to Yorkshire with an awesome wedding at the Yellow Arch Studios with Sheffield based Dyane Fisher as their celebrant.
Their Thailand/Yorkshire wedding cake with it’s bottle of ‘Henderson’s relish’, made by Sheffield creative Cherrypie Cakes, has to be one of the most imaginative cakes I’ve ever seen! The attention to detail was incredible.
Lucy wore a stunning contemporary Ivory gown, in Chiffon and Lace, by designer True Bride stocked at Blushes bridal studio in Sheffield, and her bridesmaids choose their own dresses in gorgeous shades of Blue, Green, and Red which worked perfectly.
The beautiful hand-tied flowers which mirrored the Yorkshire/Thai theme perfectly were the handy work of Linda Nuttall – a good friend of the family.
Our team bunnies Helena & Amy had the pleasure of styling Lucy with soft deep wave curls and natural makeup, whilst Jenn Natty and Kelly assisted with styling Lucy’s Mum, bridesmaids and flower girls.
We are all very grateful to have been a part of such an awesome day and we wish Lucy and Alex a long and happy life together.
Huge thanks to Lucy for sharing the images of her day.
